Isle of Skye, 1930. It’s the eve of Agatha’s wedding to Max Mallowan, whom she met on an archaeological dig in Iraq earlier the same year, when she accepts the mission. Her friend John Davison, a Secret Intelligence Service agent, is concerned about the welfare of Robin Kinmuir, one of the service’s best agents who has had a run of bad luck (the death of his son, his wife’s disappearance and a disastrous botched operation costing the lives of servicemen). Someone has been sending Kinmuir threatening letters, warning he will pay for his crimes with his life.

Christie and Davison travel to Kinmuir’s home on the astonishingly beautiful Island of Skye, where a gathering of fascinating guests at a hunting lodge are set to enjoy abundant hospitality. And a double murder.

A household in chaos. No one is allowed to leave. A tantalising case for Agatha Christie to solve…
